In the stillness of night, when the world whispers secrets through the veil of sleep, we find ourselves at the gateway of dreaming. It is here, in this sacred space, where our dreams get to speak to us and guide us towards health, vitality and wholeness. Dreaming calls us to explore the depths of our being, illuminating our shadow, light, wounds, and our innermost desires and wishes.
Why must we turn to our dreams? For it is in dreams that we touch the sky of our innermost desires, dive into the oceans of our hidden fears, and emerge with the pearls of insight. Through the use of practical dreaming tools, we can begin to understand the language of our dreams and begin to head the call the action they are signalling. When we realize the immense power of our dreams and what they offer us, we will never again feel alone or unsupported.
Dreams are our silent guides, leading us through the labyrinth of life with a gentle hand. They are the whispers of our ancestors, echoing through time, nurturing our spirit with their ageless wisdom. In dreams, we are one with the cosmos, a part of the eternal dance of creation. Through a devotion to ones dreams, we can return to this ancient communion with our dreams and begin to awaken the dreamer with us.
Our dreams invite us to return to ourselves, return to each other, return to the essence of all that is. In dreaming, we remember who we are, why we are, and what must be done to bridge this remembering. Dreaming is not just an act; it is a pilgrimage back to the heart of existence.
I have always been a dreamer on a path of dreaming and awakening. Even at a young age, I knew that I would work with people and help them in their healing and transformative journey. This knowing led me to pursue a degree in psychology and eventually to stumble upon a private gathering of shamanic dreamers in my backyard (literally). The pull to dreaming began as a world shifting experience. I knew that I needed to learn about shamanic dreaming, yet couldn’t explain why. As I learnt about dreams and the world of dreaming, my dreamer began to awaken and I began to receive clear messages of guidance. These dream messages guided me onto a deep healing path that spanned 10 years. Through my own personal healing journey with ancestral and family trauma, social conditioning and infertility, I began to uncover the profound guidance dreaming offered me. It became clear, dreams were a compass for the human Soul.
My dreams supported me through healing infertility and eventually becoming a mother to 3 dreamers, who I saw in the dreamtime long before they emerged on this physical plane. All throughout my adult life my dreams have shown me the way forward, and taught me to have faith and listen. This faith and deep listening is one of my key dreamwork practices. Becoming a mother, has taught me the immense importance of teaching our children about dream and has brought me back to my own ancestral dreaming roots. My dreaming lineage is Stoney Cree and Middle Eastern. My blended lineage has allowed me to dream with this land as well as lands across the ocean. Through this I have learnt that dreaming has no boundaries and belongs to all peoples on this Earth.
One day, a profound dream called me forward and changed the trajectory of my life. In the dream, I was asked by 2 indigenous elders to step forward onto a stage and begin teaching about dreams. Of course, I resisted their invitation, looking around for who they could be talking to, thinking they didn’t mean me. The female elder ignored my resistance and pushed me forward onto the stage and the words of dreams began to tumble from my mouth until eventually I found the connection with the dreamtime. This dream was the beginning of my vocation as a dreamwork coach and facilitator. Since then, I have led dreamwork circles, courses, retreats and private sessions. I also collaborate with my dreamtime sisters under Pathfinders, a shamanic dreaming collective.
My dreams have become an anchor in my life and are the guiding star in my life. My work with others is led by their dreams and what their dreams are calling them to. Ritual, ceremony, devotion and patience underly my practice.
May you hear the call of your dreams
